Isla Reserve is a brand of VDGT, LLC. This policy covers islareserve.com and book.islareserve.com.

VDGT, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company doing business as Isla Reserve (“Company”, “we”, “us”), has a deep commitment to respecting your concerns about privacy. We created this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) to explain how islareserve.com and book.islareserve.com (the “Website”) collect and use the information they gather. If you still have questions after reading it, contact us using the details at the end of this Policy.

Privacy of user information

On the Website we request and collect personal information that you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number and payment details, to reserve a package, book a reservation or provide other services offered. We share this information with the suppliers and service providers that fulfill your booking, process your payment, send our messages and support the Website, and with the partners described in this Policy. Your participation in any promotion is optional, and you can always opt out of any mailing or promotion you no longer wish to receive.

We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our policies, or protect our or others’ rights, property or safety.

We receive personal information from you directly, automatically from your browser or device when you use the Website, and from third parties such as our advertising partners and the travel suppliers that fulfill bookings.

Information we collect automatically

When you visit the Website, we and our partners automatically collect information about your device and your visit using cookies, pixels, browser storage and similar technologies. This includes your IP address, your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, cookie and device identifiers, the pages and offers you view, how long you stay, what you click or tap, how far you scroll, the website or advertisement that referred you, and advertising click identifiers.

Some of these tools record how visitors interact with our pages, such as clicks, taps, scrolling and movement through a page, so that we can understand and improve the Website.

Analytics, advertising and messaging partners

We use analytics providers to measure and improve the Website, including PostHog and the analytics built into our website hosting. We use advertising partners, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to measure our advertising and to show you our offers on other websites and apps. When you start or complete a booking, we may send Meta your email address and phone number in hashed form, together with details of the booking, so that we can measure our advertising. We use Klaviyo to send our email and text messages.

These partners collect the information described above directly from your browser or device and may combine it with other information they hold about you, subject to their own privacy policies. We do not use identity-matching services on the Website.

Sale or sharing of personal information and your choices

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, allowing advertising partners to collect information through the Website as described above may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or targeted advertising, under the laws of some states. The categories of information involved are identifiers, internet and device activity, and approximate location.

You can opt out in the following ways: (1) email hello@islareserve.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and tell us that you want to opt out, and we will remove the contact details you give us from our marketing and advertising audiences; (2) use the unsubscribe link in any email, or reply STOP to any text message; and (3) block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use the opt-out tools offered by the advertising platforms you use.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including to fulfill bookings, keep business and tax records, resolve disputes and comply with the law. Analytics and advertising information is kept for the periods set by the partners that hold it. You can ask us to delete your personal information as described below.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, to receive a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising. To make a request, email hello@islareserve.com with the subject “Privacy Request”. We will verify your request using the contact information we hold for you and respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent to make a request, and if we decline your request you may appeal by replying to our response. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Payment information

We offer the use of a secure server. All sensitive and credit card information you supply is transmitted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway provider’s database, where it is accessible only to those authorized with special access rights to such systems, who are required to keep the information confidential.

After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, Social Security numbers, financial information and similar) is not stored on our servers.

Related services

Isla Reserve packages are fulfilled by Monster Reservations Group (“MRG”), which handles reservations, date selection and customer support, and by the resorts that provide your accommodation. If you purchase a package, you must provide personally identifiable information to complete the purchase. This information is then provided to MRG and to the suppliers (for example, resorts) for processing.

Any personally identifiable information you supply directly to another supplier, servicing or fulfillment company, in the past or in the future, is subject to their privacy statement and practices, for which the Company takes no liability or responsibility. These third parties have separate and independent privacy policies, and we have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of their sites. We nonetheless seek to protect the integrity of our Website and welcome any feedback about them.

Do-not-track requests

Our Website includes third-party tools that track visitors, including those named in this Policy. We do not respond to browser Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) requests.

The use, storage and security of information

Our Website uses cookies and your browser’s local storage. Cookies are small strings of text that a website stores on your device. They help keep the Website secure, let us customize the Website and our offers, and give you a better online experience. Cookies do not corrupt or damage your computer, programs or files. You may set your browser to block cookies, although doing so may affect how the Website works.

While no website can guarantee security, we use physical, electronic and administrative safeguards to help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and use your personal information correctly. Except as described in this Policy, we use commercially reasonable efforts to limit access to your personal information to the employees, agents and officers who need it to carry out their jobs. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Conditions of contact by the Company

You may receive emails associated with your activities on the Website, such as booking confirmations, updates about your package and dates, and information you requested. If you agree to receive offers, you will also receive our marketing emails.

To comply with CAN-SPAM, we do not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses; we identify advertising messages in a reasonable way; we include the physical address of our business; we honor opt-out and unsubscribe requests quickly; and every email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. To stop receiving future emails at any time, follow the instructions at the bottom of any email.

You may also receive communications by text message, including multiple recurring messages (message and data rates may apply). Reply STOP to opt out of the messaging service, RESUME to opt back in, or HELP for assistance. Because mobile access and text message delivery depend on your mobile carrier’s network, delivery is not guaranteed. Consent to these terms is not a condition of purchase.

SMS and mobile messaging

When you provide your mobile number and opt in, you consent to receive recurring SMS messages from Isla Reserve and, as named in the consent you give at checkout, Monster Reservations Group. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time.

Apart from MRG as named in that consent, we do not share, sell or rent your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in and consent information to any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This information is used solely to deliver the messages you requested, through service providers acting on our behalf. This SMS consent is specific to Isla Reserve and is not shared with or transferable to other programs.

Third-party websites

The Company is responsible only for the privacy policy and content of this Website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the use of cookies on websites that led you to this Website, or on non-Company websites that you may reach from it. Your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in and consent data are never shared with advertisers, affiliates or other third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act compliance

We comply with the requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our Website, products and services are directed to people who are at least 13 years old. If you believe that information from someone 12 or younger has been collected, please contact us immediately at hello@islareserve.com.

Your California privacy rights

As provided by California Civil Code section 1798.83, a California resident who has provided personal information to a business with whom they have established a business relationship for personal, family or household purposes (“California Customer”) is entitled to request information about whether the business has disclosed personal information to any third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. If the business has made such a disclosure, then on receipt of a request by a California Customer it is required to provide a list of all third parties to whom personal information was disclosed in the preceding calendar year, as well as a list of the categories of personal information that were disclosed.

California and other customers may request further information about our compliance with this law by emailing hello@islareserve.com. We are only required to respond to one request per customer each year.

Individuals covered by the GDPR

The following applies to individuals whose personal data falls under the jurisdictions subject to the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): VDGT, LLC is the data controller for your personal data. Your consent to our use of the personal data provides us with a lawful basis for such use. We will retain the personal data indefinitely unless you instruct us to delete it or we inform you otherwise. If you feel that there is a problem with how the personal data has been handled, you have the right to register a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Terms and your consent
